The netH2O POD is a modular sensor node, usable for open water deployments with the B200-5 buoy. Each pod measures water temperature and can be equipped with any sensor from the available netH₂O sensor packs.
Build your vertical sensor string
Combine pods in a vertical string, with up to 2 m between adjacent pods. Choose the number of pods and their positions to measure temperature and other water-quality parameters at different depths.
Power and data pass along the string through the upper and lower cable connections. Three support ropes carry the suspension load, while a hood below each pod provides protection for the sensors and cables.
For open water deployments, mooring should be provided with two lateral lines, keeping the water beneath the buoy clear of obstacles that may interfere with the POD string.

The pressure rating depends on the installed sensor pack. Standard sensor packs support operation down to a maximum depth of 20 m.

- Chlorophyll-a (CHL)
- Turbidity (Turb)
- Cyanobacteria (CYANO)

Ten-pod deployment example
The illustration shows ten individually sold pods combined in a vertical string below a B200-5 buoy. Each pod costs €850 and includes a temperature sensor. The buoy and optional sensor packs are separate.
