The netH₂O B200-10 is a high-capacity solar-powered smart buoy for continuous water-quality monitoring. It combines an approximately 200 Wh battery system built from two ≤100 Wh LiFePO4 batteries — keeping the buoy air-freight shippable, a 10 W solar PV panel, cellular connectivity and the Sensorica cloud data pipeline in a larger autonomous platform.

Thanks to its advanced low-power control system, the B200-10 is designed for indefinite field operation under suitable solar exposure and configured sampling/upload schedules: the buoy wakes, samples, stores and periodically uploads data to the cloud, where it can be accessed through the Sensorica Data Platform.

Its water sampling system implements a patent-pending innovation.

The base platform includes:

  • 10 W solar PV panel for continuous energy harvesting.
  • Two LiFePO4 batteries of approximately 100 Wh each (about 200 Wh in total), managed by the onboard control system. Because there are only two batteries, each within the 100 Wh threshold, the buoy can be shipped by air, for situations when you need them rapidly.
  • Advanced duty-cycle control for low-power sampling, local buffering and scheduled cloud upload.
  • Cellular connectivity for periodic automatic data transmission.
  • Cloud data access through the Sensorica Data Platform.
  • GPS positioning and configurable acquisition/transmission schedules.
  • Temperature sensor and IMU for buoy status, motion and environmental context.
  • Pre-arranged for water-quality sensor integration on a shared RS-485 / Modbus chain.

Typical applications include aquaculture, mussel farming, coastal monitoring, lakes, reservoirs, ports, marinas and research deployments where a larger battery capacity and longer autonomous operation are required.
